Gothic Voices Medieval Choir

First Full Length Gothic Voices Medieval Choir Performance

Musica Matrix is thrilled about our upcoming event – the first full length Gothic Voices, Medieval Choir performance.

The program will feature lutenist James Bishop Edwards performing a selection of medieval pieces dotted throughout the late 15th Century polyphony a cappella vocal program.

The pieces selected for this concert are rhythmically complex and tonally rich. They are songs and motets of the late Middle Ages from both England and France, two countries with close ties, and yet bitter battles for supremacy and sovereignty.

Your ears will be treated to a gorgeous program containing lush counterpoint and within an exotic tonal universe.

The concert will take place on Saturday, May 20th at 7pm at the Ashland Springs Hotel ‘Crystal Room’ in downtown Ashland. The event will begin with a complimentary sampling of gourmet hors d’oeuvres. Gourmet wines and beer will be available for purchase by the glass.
