AWMF Phoenix-Talent Fire Relief Fundraister
Until Thanksgiving, Ashland World Music Festival is helping to collect donations to the Phoenix-Talent School District Fire Relief fund. This fund was set up to aid the 80% of the students and approximately 400 families in the Phoenix-Talent School District that were affected by the Almeda Fire on September 8, 2020. Donate here »
Asbestos and Natural Disasters Guide
Wildfires pose a threat for many obvious reasons, but one overlooked potential threat is asbestos exposure. Asbestos, and other cancer causing minerals, can be released into the air when structures catch fire and begin to burn. Here is a guide on what to know about asbestos during wildfires and other natural disasters.
Wildfire Damage Housing Relief Program
Up to $6,500 to assist households of lower income that suffer a loss of housing due to a wildfire. To apply applicants must have had damage or loss to their primary residence due to a wildfire and residence is considered uninhabitable unless repaired or replaced. Applicants must have an income that is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
Disaster Unemployment Assistance (FEMA)
Disaster Unemployment Assistance benefits are payable in the first week after the week in which the President declares a major disaster. To qualify, your unemployment must be a direct result of a major disaster.
